Meet Marcus Chapman
Senior Associate

About Marcus
Marcus is a Senior Associate Solicitor in our Dispute Resolution team, based in our Wisbech and Ely offices.
Marcus has recently returned to the area to rejoin former colleagues, having spent the past three years leading the Dispute Resolution department at a Norfolk firm. Prior to that, he held senior roles, including Partner and Senior Associate, at firms across West Norfolk and Cambridgeshire.
Marcus has handled a broad range of matters over the years, from high-value personal injury and fatal accident claims to complex commercial disputes. Notable cases include representing infant claimants in the class action against Addenbrooke’s Hospital during the Miles Bradbury child abuse litigation, and advising a Formula 1 engine manufacturer in contractual disputes with racing teams over engine performance.
Marcus’s current practice includes commercial and residential lease matters, licensing issues, intellectual property disputes, defamation, professional negligence, and construction-related claims. He is a strong supporter of Alternative Dispute Resolution and has recently secured a number of successful settlements through mediation.
Legal background
Marcus qualified as a Solicitor in 2003, following an earlier qualification as a Fellow of the Institute of Legal Executives in 1996. With over 36 years of experience in civil litigation, Marcus brings a wealth of knowledge to the team.
Life outside the law
Away from the office, Marcus enjoys watching rugby both at amateur and professional level, having retired from playing for his local team as hooker, when the pain became more than the gain! Outside the rugby season Marcus can be found limping through the Norfolk countryside after his three spaniels.
